Preconditions -- You need a Web Browser, Java SDK and a Servlet container on your machine and sufficient disk space. I used:

Directory Structure -- unzipping the distribution file creates directory cocoon-2.0.1 with subdirectories docs, legal and WAR file cocoon.war.
